Borets manufactures submersible induction oil-flooded electric motors in 4.06, 4.61 and 5.12 in. (103, 117 and 130 mm) housing OD sizes, with capacity of 10.7 to 603.5 hp (8 to 450 kW).
More than 100 modifications of the motors are manufactured which enables to select the optimal capacity for each specific pump and ensure reliable and high efficiency ESP system operation with minimum electric power losses.

Some of the design features of the motors:
- stator lamination packs made of electrical steel and interlaced with non-magnetic bronze packs
- stator laminations have a closed slot configuration
- for stator slot insulation Teflon tubing is used
- Y-connection of stator phases with lead-out neutral wire
- the motor leads are high temperature
- radial bearings have retaining pins preventing from cranking inside the housing
- the cable socket is made of Teflon.
The motor is equipped with the fine oil filter manufactured using powder metallurgy technology. Motor manufacturing technology includes vacuum stator varnishing with high-temperature varnish. The coincident rotation speed is 3000 rpm at frequency 50 Hz.
For the manufacturing of Borets motors, technology and specialized tools from the worlds leading manufacturers are used. Proven design, high-tech modern equipment, reliable materials, qualified personnel and a step by step quality control system allows Borets to manufacture motors with a prolonged run life capable to work at the ambient temperature of up to 275 °F (135 °Ñ).
Motor lead extensions, with a pothead construction ensuring enhanced reliability, are able to operate in temperatures of up to 450 °F (230 °Ñ) and are supplied with the motors.
All types of motors can be manufacturing in different sizes with the following modifications:
- standard – marked EDB (to withstand temperature of up to 230 °F (110 °Ñ)
- heat-resistant – marked as EDBÒ (for temperature up to 275 °F (135 °Ñ)
- corrosion-resistant – the housings are plated with corrosion-resistant coating.
